Staff:
We have a dedicated staff team, with lots of childcare experience, most of whom hold childcare qualifications. Staff regularly attend training to update our knowledge and practice.
Our high ratio of staff to children ensures individual attention to the needs and development of each child. Our ratio is 1:3 for under 2’s, 1:4 for 2 year olds and 1:8 for 3-4 year olds.
All our staff are police checked.

Pre-School
The Pre-School is open Monday – Friday from 8:30am-4:00pm during term time offering sessional and full day care to children from 2-5years old.

The Pre-School is registered with Ofsted and is regularly inspected on its standards of care and education. We are also registered to receive the Nursery Education Grant, which entitles children to receive 5 free sessions per week, the term after their 3rd birthday.

The Pre-School operates from a large room offering a range of activities and experiences that enable them to make progress in the Foundation Stage. A typical session starts with a period of free play, during which children are able to move around the room independently and take part in child initiated, adult initiated or adult directed activities. During this time children also have the opportunity to play outside. We operate a snack bar system during the session where children are able to sit and enjoy a snack together. After tidying up we meet for Circle Time, giving children the opportunity to sing and share news. The session ends with Key Group Time, where children meet with their key worker, who tailors activities to meet the needs and interests of the children in their group.

Pre-School fees:
Morning or afternoon session £7.00
Each additional half hour £1.75

Crèche
The crèche is open Monday to Thursday from 9:30am-11:25am during term time for children from 6 months to 3 years old.

A typical session includes free play with a range of toys, activities and experiences which allow your child to explore, discover and learn, supported by the Birth to Three Matters Framework. Opportunities are planned for physical play, both in and outdoors. The session ends with music, singing and story time. A snack is provided during the session.

Crèche operates on a first come first served basis. Places should be booked a week in advance and payment made at time of booking. Charges will be made for all sessions booked, even if your child is absent for any reason, as staffing is organised around ratios. At busier times we may not be able to offer the days requested due to staffing availability.

Crèche fees: £6.25 per session.
